I've added the Invision Community Blogs, and I think I have all the usergroup settings correct, but I don't see how I can create a new blog.

 

I'll just have to play around with it, or if anyone knows what I'm missing, please speak up.

Go to your profile settings, create the blog first from there and away you go ;)

I need to figure how IPS has their blog setup, there is a bit "create blog" button on the top right, I don't want to make ppl go into their profiles to start a blog.

Yeah it's not very friendly and doesn't look too good in the Clean Cut style I have on my site, fine in the default style though.

You do that with your own blog, add blocks. Just done that with mine on IPBSetup.
I think they are using the RC or Beta version of the Blog which you can also download from your client area. I'm using those versions on my site for the Gallery and Blogs.

I had thought about adding the beta of the new ip.content but held off last night

 

ps.. how do I upgrade? just upload the files and go into admincp?

well I broke it..lol

 

it's trying to upgrade and has a DB error somehow :(

 

okay.. I removed the blog and added it again, the RC this time.

 

Seems to be working fine now.. can anyone else make their own blogs?

 

I see we can import an RSS feed as well
