December 9, 200915 yr ooo, I can to try my first IPB upgrade :) It goes slick as a whistle. I've already upgraded two of mine with zero problems. Two down, two to go.
December 10, 200915 yr I'm having problems with the upgrading/installing. The good thing is that is just a test site with empty database. First i tried to upgrade and after finishing the site was no longer reachable, just 404 Not Found pages. So i decide to go for fresh install with new database, in the middle of the installation some warning messages began to pop up. I was able to take just one screen shot of this messages (see attachment). Now i have just this message on homepage: There appears to be an error with the database. If you are seeing this page, it means there was a problem communicating with our database. Sometimes this error is temporary and will go away when you refresh the page. Sometimes the error will need to be fixed by an administrator before the site will become accessible again. You can try to refresh the page by clicking here /monthly_12_2009/post-109-13382266805587_thumb.png
December 11, 200915 yr Author It goes slick as a whistle. I've already upgraded two of mine with zero problems. Two down, two to go. I'll most likely give it a shot this weekend, along with ip.content's update I'm having problems with the upgrading/installing. The good thing is that is just a test site with empty database. First i tried to upgrade and after finishing the site was no longer reachable, just 404 Not Found pages. If you are seeing this page, it means there was a problem communicating with our database. Sometimes this error is temporary and will go away when you refresh the page. Sometimes the error will need to be fixed by an administrator before the site will become accessible again. You can try to refresh the page by clicking here Here is a little info about the header error. 1) Find the header() statement that is causing the problem. The error must be at or before this line.2) Look for any statements that could send output to the user before this header statement. If you find one or more, find some way to move the header statement before them. Complex conditional statements may complicate the issue, but they may also help solve the problem. Consider a conditional expression at the top of the PHP script that determines the header value as early as possible and sets it there. 3) Make sure there is no white space outside of the php start and end tags. While a blank line before the <?php start tag may look innocent, when processed by PHP, it will turn into an echo statement printing out a blank line. This is a common culprit. [Source..]

When uploading files to the server, i use FireFTP, an error message appeared,i didn't thought i was important (stupid me) as all files where uploaded . After restarting Firefox (FireFTP), because it was giving me the same error, i uploaded the files without problem and now the upgrading went just fine.
