Converting from xenforo to IPB

I had converted my off topic forum to xenforo from IPB. At the time my users wanted something simple. xenforo fit the bill so I converted. For the first couple weeks things were normal and the members seemed to be pleased. Then the moderators spoke up because some of the tools they needed to do there job like merge posts and users were no longer available. So I decided to convert back to IPB.

 

The process was painless although there was some problems with importing attachments and avatars. These were fixed in later versions of the importer, but, when I did the import I had to use work arounds posted on the IPB forum. It took a couple times to get the import done completely. Once it was complete my mods and admins were happy to have the tools they needed and the members didn't notice a difference.
