I recently bought the domain https://notusing.net. I use it to park domains I am either going to sell or use in the future. When I got disgusted with Internet Brands attitude and vbulletin I had an idea. I have 5 unused vbulletin licenses. They all used to point to the domains they were installed. What I did was change the domains license to point to https://notusing.net. I didn't want any of the communities I have converted from vbulletin to IPB to be associated with the IB brand or vbulletin.

I have since pointed all sorts of scripts that require a domain to be set for license purposes that I no longer use to the domain.

If you want to use the domain just set up a link in the member's area of whatever you are no longer using to https://notusing.net.

It's just a basic bland message that any one that visits from your link will see. In the future I will spruce it up a bit and might even add a forum.

I plan on doing that.

Something interesting happened. I haven't logged into my vbulletim members area account in a while. A user on Brandons General Forum was looking to buy a vbulletin 3.8.4 license that wasn't expired. I logged into check and while I was there I changed another dead license to point to http://notbeingused.net. When I got to the edit page there was a notice in bold that said the URL of the domain has to point to a site that has a valid vbulletin installed. That was never there before. Of course being the loyal vbulletin owner I added the domain anyway.

And all my licenses are in deed expired except for the lone vbulletin 4 license.

Yea it is. I am going to finish some things I need to do on this site and then I will develop it more. Might even add a forum to it.

I recently did add a forum to this site. haven't done much with it except install the software and change the style.

It's still there to use if you want. I have the xenforo licenses I don't use as I convert the site set to that url.
