For the people that don't know me I am Bob the new owner of IPB Setup. I bought the site from Brandon and have imported all the data going back to when John owned the site.

I have rearranged a few things and added others. I still have work to do. I have to import the blog, gallery and cms data. I have a couple skins in mind that I want to use so I'll be changing the look in the next couple days. I have a few permission tweaks to do and I have to copy over my guidelines that I use on all my sites.

Your username and passwords should work. This was an IPB to IPB merge so nothing should have happened with the logins. Let me know if you have any problems.

I'd like to welcome everyone to the new era of IPB Setup. I have some big shoes to fill coming after Brandon and John and I'll try my best to do it.

One last thing I will be having a contest with a full Invision Community Forum license to be given away to the winner. More information will be forth coming in the future.

Congrats Bob! I've seen you around but never talked to you. ;)
I can't answer for Brandon, but, I believe he is concentrating on his new forum, http://general-forums.com

And no I'm not that Bob. LOL

Well, I am very sure that you will make him regretful. IPB has a great potential and i hope this website works very good for you & us. I know you from vb.com, i mean i read your posts there. Good job to have this website. Any plans to how to run this website?

I've got a lot of plans. First thing I have to do is get everything set up like I want it and then I'll start to implement my plans.

Congrats, Bob!

The merge ate my password, but that's okay. Took a few seconds to sort out a new one.

I wonder if it's because of the problems I had importing the data. I had it error on me in a couple places and I had to run a few queries to remove some data when it did. My bet is your password was one bit that was removed.

Thanks Matt and Mike.

Look forward to it. I believe I gave you my AIM? I have other messengers if need be.

Drop me a PM with you AIM Matt. I don't remember you giving it to me before.

Congrats Bob!

and glad you got both databases merged

I do wish I could of held on to this but as Bob said, I have another forum that I'm working on and I just didn't have time for everything, plus I needed the money at the time.

I wish you the best and will be checking in to see what you come up with, IPB has some great features, I'm sure you'll do great. :)

Thanks guys. I created a special group for you. You should have some access to the staff forum and a few extra permissions.
Congrats on the acquisition Bob. It's a shame that we couldn't have joined together and had one large IPB help site rather than 2 separate sites (IPB Setup and IPB Webmaster), but I'm sure each will do well.

Welcome to the community Peggy. It all happened rather fast. Started in a morning chat and ended with an evening buy. I had no idea you, Mike and John were starting another site until Mike DM'ed me on Twitter.

I was going to start an IPB help site shortly after I converted my first site. Someone beat me to the domain I wanted and then the project went on the back burner. Out of the blue Brandon posted he might be selling. I replied to him and here we are.

Maybe we can network the sites. I sure would like the chance to work with all of you.

Get a cartoonified avatar of you holding a glass of brandy and you're all set, Bob. :D

Looking forward to seeing both sites develop.

Now that would be cute!

Bob I just think that one big site would be great for us all. But networking is definitely a good idea, one I'm sure that Mike and John will go for. :D
