Hm, I've just tried editing the language files myself and it doesn't seem to work. I have a German and a Russian Invision Community Forum language installed. And since there is no German Blog language file, everything in it is English. What I was trying to edit is: When you click "Blogs" in the tabs at the top, in the navigation bit you see "Community Blog List". I went and searched for it in the German language file. I found it, changed it to German and clicked OK. No change. So I went for the option to translate externally. Everything worked. I made some changes and imported the blog_public_blog.php file. I recached the complete German language file. Result? No changes. What am I doing wrong? Edit: D'oi! I never switched the language in the drop-down menu... LOL So editing the language files works. Still it'd be nice to have finished language files. Especially because I don't know Russian well enough anymore to translate everything.

Hi! Are there any official German and/or Russian Invision Community Blog language files? I found a German one on IPBSupport.de but it's for Invision Community Blog 1.4. Invision Community Blog being at 2.0.2 at the moment, makes those files totally useless. I didn't find anything in the Resources area over at IPS either. :(

Is it possible to publish news with categories with CCS? I use Joomla right now and find it very nice to be able to use different categories for my news. At first glance I only saw Pages in CCS, not Posts/News/Blogs or anything like that. Also - is there some kind of Video-Demo or Tutorial for the newbies like me?

Ok, yeah I know about the settings where you can make it so that a user can only see their own threads. But those private threads need to be accessable to other members too. Provided they are invited and/or have the password.

Is there a feature or plugin that lets users have private or password protected threads? Private as in that the thread starter controls who can read/write in that thread.

I have a question about user group management. What I would like to do is: - I create a user group. - I designate a member the "moderator" or "head" of that group. - Other members may apply for membership of that user group. - The Moderator/Head of the group can approve or deny those requests. Is that possible out of the box? And if not, is there a mod that does this? What I want to do is semi-recreate the social groups discussions that vBulletin has. Only I would be doing this with user groups and actual forums. I am aware that there is a plugin for IPB 2.3 that does this (sort of), but it has not been updated to 3.0 yet and I would be willing to sacrifice the "automation" that plugin may offer, for the possibility of doing this out of the box. I really don't want to install too many plugins/addons. Thanks in advance everyone. :)

If I may butt in: is there a skinning guide? I have heard that skinning is a LOT different from vB (and possibly not as nice 'n easy). BTW, nice to see a fellow vB.com-er here Shelly. ;)

I'm not bothered about the German support. Only about a supported German language file. I dug through my old bookmarks and found it: www.ipbsupport.de - they really should work on their Google placement. I searched for IPB Support German and IPB Support Deutsch and didn't find them. Anyway - I think I'm sticking around here anyway. :)

Hi there! From my IPB < 2.0 days I seem to remember that there was a German website and/or forum that provided support in German and German lang-files for Invision Community Forum. Is there a site like that around? Is there anything like Invisionize around? I mean Invisionize was sort of going down hill last time I checked (reputation wise) a few years ago. So I guess my question is: are there any good resource websites for IPB (like this wonderful forum :) )?
