New Member at IPB Webmaster?

  1. Introductions · Started by Jacob,

Hello Everyone, My name is Jacob and I currently run several communities on IPB. I'm joining in hopes to become involved with the community and get your opinion on some questions I have. (I'll post those in the proper area for organizational purposes) Can't wait to meet everyone! :D

Hello everybody, my username on DP is Kush86 I was going to join sooner but had somethings to work out with my other projects. Now I am ready to build my forum. I bought Invision Community Forum, Invision Community Blog, and Invision Community Pages. I can't wait to learn some stuff about tweaking my forum.

Some of you might have an account here when John owned the site and then signed up again when Brandon owned it. If you have 2 accounts post in this thread what the accounts are and I will send you an email on each account to verify the accounts are yours. Once you reply I will merge the accounts. I have already merged John and Brandons accounts.

  4. Introductions · Started by Mikey,

Hey guys, some of you may know me, I'm Mikey from vBSetup. Looking at purchasing my first IPB license, as I got a demo copy and liked what I see. Not gonna move any communities over from vBulletin, but I am gonna start a new community using the IPB software, which explains me being here. That, and me stalking Brandon ;) Maybe one day I'll be as good with IPB as I am with vB and we'll just all bow to me lol :D Nice to see you all.

  5. Introductions · Started by ChopSuey,

Some of you may know me and some may not. I had ONE IPB forum which was hosted for free. I'll maybe start up a site with IPB and if i need help i'll be sure to com here. :D

  6. Introductions · Started by AzzidReign,

Well, after doing more and more reading about vB4 and how many people didn't like it, even users, I decided to jump ship and convert to IPB. At this very moment, it's being converted. :) I was scared to convert because I'm a big board and rank really well in google for the things I want to rank well with. After reading AWS's blog about all his stats improving, on top of reading many other successes, I decided to try the IPB demo out. Needless to say, I was very impressed and have become very excited about making this move. I use to be apart Brandon's vb setup site, but looks like this will be my new home! I'm glad to be here and excited to start learning new th…

Obligatory "new member" topic goes here. I'm terrible at these things. :P

  8. Thanks for the welcome. I am new to IPB so I'll be asking many questions.

  9. Hello everyone, If you don't know me, my name is Brandon Sheley I was the founder of a vBulletin site called vBulletinSetup, which I recently sold to Crowdgather to allow me more time for my family. I have a few blogs and this forum right here, I made IPBHelp to learn what was possible with IPB. I don't see it growing very fast, because I just don't have the time to commit to it like I did when I started vBSetup. I'm open to suggestions or mods we should add here, I'm just now getting familiar with the backend, it's nothing like what I've used before (vBulletin) I welcome and and all members, this will be a friendly site where we can hopefully learn from ea…

  10. Hi Guys I've just bough an IPB forum, with around 9K members and 140K posts. I'm looking to make some substantial changes to the current site and wondered if anyone was available for 1-1 help for a while (paid of course). I am looking at new skin design, and am considering introducing Invision Community Pages, Invision Community Pages and Invision Community Blog? Thanks in advance? Lee

  13. I've added a few feeds to build some related content, you'll see them at the bottom of the index page. (and I plan to add a few more, but ran out of time) I'm going to see what I have to do to remove them from the "new post" link at the top of the forum. So bare with me while I do some work to build some traffic to this place B)

  15. I have turned on Facebook and OpenID logins. You can now login with your Facebook or openid login. I will be adding this domain as an OpenID provider so in the future you'll be able to login with yourusername.ipbsetup.com at any openid enabled site. I will be doing the same thing with Windows Live.

  16. Howdy members new and old. I have decided to revive this community. It's been a wild ride. I had a stroke and other health issues which caused me to step away from community building. When my health issues were over I strayed to another forum software product that for now will remain nameless. Had another bad turn with my health and closed my sites again. This time I was sure I'd never open any communities again. I did survive and health is as good as it is going to get. So here we are again back on Invision Community software. I always have thought that Invision Community was the best forum software package. After running the other software for a while I reali…
