New Member at IPB Webmaster?
-
For the people that don't know me I am Bob the new owner of IPB Setup. I bought the site from Brandon and have imported all the data going back to when John owned the site. I have rearranged a few things and added others. I still have work to do. I have to import the blog, gallery and cms data. I have a couple skins in mind that I want to use so I'll be changing the look in the next couple days. I have a few permission tweaks to do and I have to copy over my guidelines that I use on all my sites. Your username and passwords should work. This was an IPB to IPB merge so nothing should have happened with the logins. Let me know if you have any problems. I'd like to…

Hello all! Let me introduce myself and why I'm here. My name is John and I own Transverse Styles. I have been developing forum skins for many years. I am the original founder and developer of vbskinworks and now own Transverse. I have acquired IPBSetup and look forward to helping you all get the most of your IPB site with timely advice, tweaks and anything else I can. I have big plans for this place and look forward to any suggestions you might have as to how we can make IPBSetup your one stop shop for all things IPB. :D

I purchased Novera from John at Transverse Styles. It is now the default skin for the site. If you would rather use the old style you can select it at the bottom left of the page from the dropdown or set it as your default style in the profile settings page.

I've added the Invision Community Blogs, and I think I have all the usergroup settings correct, but I don't see how I can create a new blog. I'll just have to play around with it, or if anyone knows what I'm missing, please speak up.

I'm going to import the old IPBSetup database from when John ran it sometime this week. I see another unique webmaster IPB DB that I may pick up and import as well. So if you see some errors this week, I'm sure it's me breaking something

Hi! Ive used vbulletin for 4 years, 2 years on my own site, but after the VB4 drama I decided to make the move over to IPB. I spent a bit of time on the IPB forums and was amazed at how helpful everyone was! Also the IPB Support is superb. Quite a few times they have just gone into my board, fixed the problem and then explained what the fault was. Finally went semi live with my VB to IPB site a few days ago and the members seem to be liking it. Still got a lot of work to do behind the scenes such as Invision Community Pages, however that can be done in slow time. Also a member on your VB forum, so glad you decided to set up an IPB one and hopefully it will gai…

I got an invite to Tweetboard and decided I'd give it a whirl. I didn't like it at first, but, it has sort of grown on me. We'll see how it goes and if I decide to keep it.

well, not so new! I'm a Brandon follower! My name is Patty and I live in Sitka, AK. I own a Coast Guard family support website/forum. I did buy the new 4.0 vbulletin license when it first came out. I don't know a whole lot, but know enough that I wasn't impressed. I really tried to use it, but I just can't get past the fact that I paid for my license twice. So with those feelings, I renewed my old IPB license and I'm not looking back. It's nice to see that IPB's customer service has not changed....great as ever! Figured I'd better join now that I've made my decision to stick with IPB.

I was testing out this IP mod that helps integrate 3rd part applications and I messed up the install, but I know what to do now. Welcome again :P

Yup, was here, but totaly forgotten to re-register. So here I am again, juster is the name. Am not planning to get rid of my vb licenses, but for now there will no new ones. And since I like IPB since it evolved, let's see where we go from here. First checking out what that new feature is you have got here!

Bob, just for the record - I purchased the IPB Webmaster.com domain on 4 February, 2010. On 5 February, I purchased the Invision licenses used on that site. In late July of that same year, I suffered a mild (if there can be such a thing) stroke and started scaling back my online presence. IPB Webmaster was still a fledgling community that needed a lot of effort to be nurtured into real life, so I passed along the database and all the IPB Webmaster and IPB Help domain names, free-of-charge, to our mutual friend, the owner of that 'upstart Admin community'. I did sell the Invision licenses used on that site, to the same individual, at a later date. I was unaware…

Anyways, I'm el canadiano, a proud IPB owner since 2007. I've also been around some great IPB forums since I've been in the forum software business. Anyways, congrats to Brandon, you will love IPB, I've always liked it from the start. I hope you can teach guys like me some stuff while I'm here.

Been studying a lot about IPB and ran into a lot of Brandon's post :) So I followed to this website. Name's Panupat. Nice to meet you. I ran a Final Fantasy website in Thai language using phpBB with a custom php to pull stuff from the BB onto my main page. Always wanted to switch to CMS so my team can update the websites too. Currently all the data are hand made in Dreamweaver. Invision Community Pages got me very excited. Definitely will try it out on my website :) Hoping I'll be able to recreate my website's appearance on IPB. http://www.all-final.com/home/
