They trying to make you like Google+ by advertising it like crazy. Quote: Earlier this week, actor/Internet celebrity Wil Wheaton posted a pretty interesting rant about Google on his blog, and on his Tumblr. Specifically, it was about a feature he spotted on YouTube, which placed a Google+ like button in the spot where the YouTube thumbs up button would normally be. It would prompt users to upgrade to Google+ when not signed in. We asked Wheaton for some additional thoughts on the subject. He seemed somewhat eager to oblige, saying that this whole thing has struck a nerve. Continued at: http://www.webpronews.com/is-google-...hroats-201…

History: I've been running a small website for about a year. For the first 6 months, I engaged several freelancers to help with SEO -- link building, submit to directories, article submissions, a few paid press releases, etc... none of this had anything more than a modest impact, and for the last 6 months I've done no SEO work, and few updates or content adds have been made to the site. For the last 2 months (almost exactly 1 year since my site launched) i've noticed an improvement in ranking and a 50% increase in traffic, and I have no idea why. I'm afraid to do anything in case I screw it up. Is it that the site has 'aged' enough for google now? Could the SEO free…

Twitter was developed to be a micro blogging platform, but users constantly find ways around the character restriction. Facebook was meant for only communicating with people the user knows in real life, but the average user now has dozens of people they have never met on their feed. Since soci…
