I'm trying to activate the mod_rewrite built into IPB3.0 but having some difficulty. It looks like it rewrites the URL, but the server doesn't know what to do with it after that and returns a 404. This is the .htaccess file I have <IfModule mod_rewrite.c> Options -MultiViews RewriteEngine On RewriteBase / RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !\..+$ RewriteRule . /index.php [L] </IfModule> any tips?

Hello, I want to register a domain name it's .CO, .ORG & .IN and some other extensions are available so which one should I choose? The blog will be related to Tech & Internet Marketing. It will focus on India but am confused whether to go for .IN itself as it may not perform well on Google.com. And if you were to choose between .NET or .CO then which one would you prefer? Google is considering .CO as a generic domain name like .COM, .NET but I have yet to see .CO domains in SERPs....

History: I've been running a small website for about a year. For the first 6 months, I engaged several freelancers to help with SEO -- link building, submit to directories, article submissions, a few paid press releases, etc... none of this had anything more than a modest impact, and for the last 6 months I've done no SEO work, and few updates or content adds have been made to the site. I recently purchased 10,000 wiki back links for 5 dollars, and I purchased 10,000 scrapbox back links for $10 and I purchased 66 hi pr back links for 30 Now I am getting more business then ever, but could there be a downside all of the place where the links were place are valid.
