  1. The Marketplace is closing on October 30th 2023. If you haven't already read the announcement, please read it first. As our Marketplace prepares to close its doors, we want to ensure a seamless transition for our customers. To facilitate this process, we're introducing a new 'license key' system to allow you to transfer your purchases to the third-party developer website in a privacy-conscious way. On the 'My Purchases' page, you'll find an improved layout displaying each resource you've purchased from the Marketplace. This includes the original purchase date, the expiry date (if applicable) and the current renewal term (if applicable). Additionally, we've …

  2. So a few weeks back I applied to the Microsoft office 2010 Technical Preview program and today I was accepted. I see they've closed off the applications so its possible I was one of the last few lucky ones to make it in the program. So far, I'm in the installation process, and its gone 100% flawless from upgrading from Office 2007. I'm using the 64bit version on a Asus P6T mobo, 12GB ram and Intel i7 processor so this thing should run just fine! Installation took about 8 minutes to complete, which was far less than Office 2007 took for some reason and I'm about to fire up the program right now. But first the first thing I noticed was the "Send a Smile" application that…

I know you are working on it, but I do not want to keep it to myself. Yesterday I noticed there was no direct link on the homepage to the boards index, only to the subforums. Is that supposed to be like that. Personaly I do not like it and want a normal link to the boards. Now I must go to a subforum and than to the index. Not userfriendly imvho http://ipbwebmaster.com/public/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif

Are you playing any online video games? If so, what are you playing? If you are not currently playing any games, have you in the past?

Here are just a few opinions if you don't mind Brandon. First off it would be really nice to have a general chat forum here :P There is also a bug in the version of IPB that you are running on, in the image below there is supposed to be a grey background behind the blue line Iv'e made and the buttons are supposed to line up at the end: http://img204.imageshack.us/img204/7051/imagetg.png Find this and just remove the 'background-color: inherit' from the code below: ul.post_controls { background-color: inherit; background-image: url({style_images_url}/gradient_bg.png); background-repeat: repeat-x; background-position: 50%; I'm sure you know how to, but it looks…

  9. Hi Brandon, Thanks for setting up the IPB version of setup. I like you, have moved one of my forums from vB to IPB. I thought I'd point out there is a page loading error on the home page. It's a java error related to the shout-box. I kept getting the same error myself whenever I enabled the shoutbox on the sidebar. I thought I'd point it out, if you figure out a fix, let me know! -Chris

What are your plans for Thanksgiving? Are you going to be doing a lot of traveling, maybe just staying home and have people go to your house?

I really think a lot of these forums should not be private until you have more post in them.

This is a place to randomly hold a conversation with the other members. I shall start... So over the summer I had two jobs, one with a non-profit organization as an administrative assistant, and one at the college as a tutor under the Federal Work Study program. Well due to budget concerns, I doubt I will be working at the non-profit again and there's a major issue with the financial aid at the college right now, so I don't even know if I have a job at this point.

I recently bought the domain https://notusing.net. I use it to park domains I am either going to sell or use in the future. When I got disgusted with Internet Brands attitude and vbulletin I had an idea. I have 5 unused vbulletin licenses. They all used to point to the domains they were installed. What I did was change the domains license to point to https://notusing.net. I didn't want any of the communities I have converted from vbulletin to IPB to be associated with the IB brand or vbulletin. I have since pointed all sorts of scripts that require a domain to be set for license purposes that I no longer use to the domain. If you want to use the domain just set …

  15. Over the next few days you will see some improvements for static resources served on our network. Static resources are items like images, videos, JavaScript, CSS, and any other file attachments. These changes do not yet apply to your actual dynamic community pages. We will follow up with more updates on improvements we are making there. Brotli Compression When your browser supports it, all static files will use Brotli compression. Brotli offers a higher compression which often results in faster page load times. WebP Images WebP is an image compression format that offers higher compression for images which also results in faster load times…

I've bought a IPB license for FBodyOnline and set up a test site to try out the converter and look for potential problems when I do a final conversion later on. Hopefully in the next couple months after I add my design and some modifications.

    hello world

  18. Just kidding. Anyways, I'm el canadiano. I'm a proud Canadian, and I have am a very experienced man in forum software, including IPB, vBulletin, SMF, and MyBB. IPB is most likely one of my favourite forum softwares, I own a standard license myself, and I find the community and support is the best around. That's one reason I prefer Invision over vBulletin. Anyways, I hope to give my experiences while I'm here and I hope you do the same for me.

Why is it that many (or most) American boards have the general forums as last forum? I see it many times, the introductions, feedback etc are all downstairs. I find it a bit strange an does not welcome me as new member. Ok, I know how it goed, but there are more people who don't. I like it better to have the general forum on top. In it are the rules, announcements etc etc, almost anything a new member needs to read and needs to feel at home. So can you explain why it is pretty common to do it this way?
