  1. The trouble with The Internet is that imbeciles are allowed to touch it. These same imbeciles like nothing more than repeating the same annoying phrases over and over until they very much stop being funny. This film takes a look at which phrases should be banned, and suggests more clememt alternatives to save you wearing out the same keys on your keyboard over and over again. Step 1: Calling People 'Sir' You, sir, fail at Teh Internets' Ooh, look at me. I just called you sir'. I'm a hoity-toity London city gent circa 1845, don't cha know? What Ho, pip pop. Faux flattery like calling someone sir' unnecessarily doesn't make you some sort of smart, plucky, flat-cap wearin…

  2. Would a IPS marketplace be a good idea here on our forums. We'll probably limit the scope of what can be bought/sold/traded to reduce the risk of scams and other garbage from flooding the forums. But I'm thinking a place where members can buy and sell their used IPS software licenses will be a nice place.

Here in East Texas the summer heats can stay in the 90s day and night. During july and august day time temps can get in the upper 90s, lower 100s with 90% humidity. I guess that is why I am glad to see fall and winter get here. The cool fronts have started blowing through, but we have yet to get a real cold front.

  4. I'm going top taker advantage of this one.

Is there a way to set permissions so that Guests are unable to view the box at the bottom of the screen that lists Active Users, Board Statistics, etc? Thanks.

  7. Wow, this is fantastic! I've always hated how Invision Community Forum doesn't have the hover-over tooltip preview like vBulletin does, but I knew it wouldn't be long before they caught up in this aspect. But boy did they do more than catch up - they've implemented this so elegantly and intelligently! Invision Power never ceases to amaze me. B)

  8. A new forum category for ex-Vbulletin users would be very useful. We (ex-vb clubbers) can discuss the things and ask our questions. I know i could do it on invision forums but i dont want to ruin there with my vb questions. I am sure there are many admins like me and it would also give some boost to this forum.

  11. We’ve got some exciting news! All communities hosted on the Invision Community platform will be switching to Cloudflare Enterprise edition for CDN and Firewall services. This transition starts now and will be complete by the end of January 2025. Don’t worry, you won’t experience any downtime during this transition. If you do see any issues, like a secure certificate warning, just clear your cache and try again. If your community keeps getting connection errors for more than 5 minutes, please reach out to our support team. We’re thrilled to offer you these improvements, including enhanced security, faster speeds, and more redundancy. We’ll also be able to better …

  13. Just kidding. Anyways, I'm el canadiano. I'm a proud Canadian, and I have am a very experienced man in forum software, including IPB, vBulletin, SMF, and MyBB. IPB is most likely one of my favourite forum softwares, I own a standard license myself, and I find the community and support is the best around. That's one reason I prefer Invision over vBulletin. Anyways, I hope to give my experiences while I'm here and I hope you do the same for me.
